Afroflavour is an ambitious pan-African organization dedicated to promoting African gastronomy worldwide. Against a backdrop of unprecedented growth in Africa’s cultural and creative industries, Afroflavour is backed by Lucky Idike, an investor and financial expert. The initiative is a key player in promoting the diversity and richness of African cuisine.

Afroflavour: a vision and a mission

Afroflavour has a clear vision: to make African cuisine a $10 billion market in North America, Europe and the UK by 2035. To achieve this ambitious goal, the organization is deploying a multidimensional approach that encompasses:

  • Events: Afroflavour organizes a variety of events such as conferences, festivals, “AfroVibes” and culinary competitions. These events are designed to reach both entrepreneurs in the African food sector and a wider multicultural audience.
  • The Plea: The organization believes in collaboration and has set up the “African Cuisine Agreements”. These agreements call on multinationals operating in Africa to commit to including African cuisine in the events they organize around the world.
  • Trade: Afroflavour facilitates trade by connecting African micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) with markets on other continents through its “African Export Pavilion” platform.
  • Media: The organization uses the power of the media to create an engaged community around African cuisine and other cultural elements such as fashion, art and more.
