African art on show in Paris
Sitor Senghor: a new artistic direction focused on materials
For this anniversary edition, AKAA welcomes a new artistic director, Sitor Senghor. A collector and artistic advisor, Senghor infuses the fair with a singular curatorial vision centered on matter.
Having previously directed the Parisian gallery Orbis Pictus, Sitor Senghor is known for his passion for detail and his conviction that art, and African art in particular, will find increasing fervor on the world market. He has highlighted his “favorites” through two special exhibitions and a fine selection of galleries. His aim is clear: to make AKAA a bridge between artists and collectors to share culture and beauty.
