In the fashion industry, there are those who parade and those who build. Georgette Griffiths belongs firmly in the latter category. Co-founder of Fashion Week by Elie Kuame, she brings rigor and passion to a fast-changing sector.

From Parisian design to African entrepreneurship

Georgette Griffiths was immersed in the world of design from an early age. Her studies gave her the technical grounding she needed to understand clothing. However, it was towards management and strategy that she quickly pivoted, understanding that creative talent without structure often remains a dead letter.

His collaboration with his brother, Elie Kuame, since the launch of his eponymous brand, has led to the creation of La Fashion Week by Elie Kuame, which reflects their desire to offer Côte d’Ivoire and the African continent a platform that meets international standards while celebrating local identity.

For Georgette, fashion doesn’t stop at a few minutes on the catwalk. That’s why Fashion Week by Elie Kuame sets itself apart with a complete program.

“Our mission is to support project initiators as they move from idea to commercialization.”

Fashion Week by Elie Kuame focuses on:

  • Business structuring: helping entrepreneurs draw up a sustainable business plan.
  • Technical development: learn how to create technical data sheets and master the production chain.
  • Branding: helping young designers define a coherent brand identity to appeal to global markets.

Cross-border influence: Abidjan and Conakry

Active between Côte d’Ivoire and Guinea, Georgette Griffiths plays the role of cultural facilitator. In Guinea, she is particularly involved in women’s empowerment, seeing textiles as a powerful vector for social emancipation.

She emphasizes that every country has its own creative energy. While Abidjan is an established hub, Conakry is brimming with ancestral know-how just waiting to be structured for export. Her job is to build bridges between these ecosystems to promote a pan-African influence.

Signature rigor

A mother of three boys and an accomplished entrepreneur, Georgette Griffiths campaigns for greater professionalism. For her, “experimental research” must be accompanied by iron discipline. It is this requirement that enables FWEK to attract institutional partners and guarantee young designers credible visibility with international buyers.

Calling on new talent

As the next editions of Fashion Week by Elie Kuame get underway, Georgette Griffiths remains focused on excellence. The call for applications for the incubator is her favorite time: the time to discover new faces who, tomorrow, will carry the colors of sovereign fashion high.

“For Georgette Griffiths, fashion is a prayer answered through hard work and discipline.”

About Georgette Griffiths Co-founder of Fashion Week by Elie Kuame and strategy consultant, she supports designers in their structuring and works for the development of creative industries in West Africa.
