How FIMO228 Uses High-End Design as a Tool for Engagement

by | 23 September 2026 | Mode

During Paris Fashion Week, the FIMO228 International Fashion Festival will take over the capital from September 25 to 27, 2026, for its fourth edition in France. Led by Togolese designer Jacques Logoh, this event combines excellence in craftsmanship with an urgent humanitarian cause under the theme “Fashion for a World Without HIV.”

Why Link High-End Textile Design to the Fight Against Stigmatization

FIMO228 France 2026 Edition has chosen to promote a fashion scene that is socially conscious, responsible, and rooted in solidarity. By placing HIV prevention and the fight against discrimination at the center of its program, the event demonstrates that fashion is a powerful vehicle for social advocacy and collective awareness-raising.

This approach reaffirms the mission of Africa’s cultural and creative industries: to convey messages of societal transformation while celebrating human dignity. On the runways of Paris, the looks presented become visual manifestos of hope, fostering dialogue among healthcare professionals, nonprofit organizations, fashion designers, and the general public.

Jacques Logoh and Thirteen Years of Creative Engineering Between Lomé and Paris

To understand the significance of this Parisian milestone, one must consider the founder’s background. Originally from Aného, Togo, Jacques Logoh began his career in the modeling industry before launching the Challenge Modeling Agency in 2011 and then founding FIMO228 in 2013.

Over the course of a decade in operation, his project has become one of the most dynamic platforms in West Africa:

  • The launch of several complementary formats, such as YAS FIMO228, YAS Togo Fashion Week, and the FIMO228 Édition France channel.
  • The development of a comprehensive business model through the opening of his own fashion house, Jacques Logoh Couture, in 2018, and his retail space, FIMO228 La Boutique, in 2022.
  • The establishment of a lasting bridge between the workshops in Lomé and European distribution channels, providing local artisans with direct exposure to international buyers.

Which leading designers will light up the Paris runways?

When bold fashion becomes the driving force behind universal solidarity

With this fourth Parisian edition, FIMO228 proves that the vitality of African fashion is not measured solely by the beauty of its draping or the virtuosity of its artisans. By harnessing the visibility of Paris Fashion Week to support a major public health cause, Jacques Logoh and his guests remind us that luxury and creativity reach their highest level of expression when they make a concrete commitment to the well-being and empowerment of communities.
