We’re delighted to welcome you to another episode of the Africa Fashion Tour podcast. Today we meetAdriana Talansi, a designer based in Congo. She offers ready-to-wear and high-end collections, as well as wedding dresses. Her collection of sublime wedding dresses made in Africa was presented in 2019 at Dakar Fashion Week. The business of ceremonies and weddings is huge for designers on the continent, who are sometimes mobilized for several weeks on an exclusive basis to create outfits for the bride, family and bridesmaids. Adriana tells us about her career path, from her apprenticeship in couture to her first contract. She also tells us about the values that drive her day-to-day management of her business.
